Administrative Assistants (Administration & Office Support) Te Kura Coordinator Position Advert – October 2024 TE KURA COORDINATOR ROLE Full time position – 40 hours per week Opening Date: Tues 15 October 2024 - Closing Date: Thu 24 October 2024 Start Date: Mon 25 November 2024 Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated is looking to fill a position in our TE KURA COORDINATOR ROLE Te Kura - Empowering whanau to be safe from family harm and violence Te Kura is a Ngati Kahungunu approach to Whangaia Nga Pa Harakeke, which is a New Zealand Police initiative that encourages collaboration with iwi and other agencies to reduce family harm within Maori communities.
Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated is looking for a Kaiawhina/Coordinator to support the implementation of Te Kura – an iwi and Police collaboration initiative to reduce family harm.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following: Excellent interpersonal relationship skills; Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks appropriately; Maintain a high standard of professional behaviour, including respecting confidential information; Maintain a pro-active attitude toward and participate in, te reo and tikanga Maori; Strong positive networks in the community; Build upon these networks and provide a level of connectivity; Desire to positively assist the Iwi community, to empower whanau and organisational stakeholders; Good knowledge of Ngati Kahungunu hapu and marae structures; Good knowledge of the Hawke's Bay family harm sector and stakeholder agencies; Ability to allocate tasks to meet targets in a timely manner; Experience in working with different organisations; Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present information appropriately to the audience.
The ideal applicant must have: Either a relevant tertiary qualification or previous experience in designing and implementing whanau support projects particularly in family harm (and/or lived experience considered); Proven experience and respect within the community, established networks in Hawke's Bay; Police Vetting & current rights to work in NZ is required.
Salary range: Remuneration will be determined based on relevant skills and experience, with an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000.
