THE ROLE
This role in our CBD office will provide you with a challenging and rewarding career where you will be exposed to a wide variety of tax issues and clients.
You will focus on helping our clients satisfy their tax obligations and develop tax effective structures for each stage of their business growth. You will be involved in providing a mix of tax compliance and consulting services to a broad range of clients, from individuals to corporate groups.
We are looking for all-rounders who have a pro-active approach to client relationships, are organised and have a high attention to detail. In return we offer a positive and supportive team environment and excellent learning and development opportunities.
To be successful, you will ideally be a Tax Manager or Assistant Manager with significant NZ tax experience. The broader your tax knowledge the quicker you will settle in. However, if you are an expert in a specialised tax area but are willing to expand your knowledge, this could be the right next step for you.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Ideally 5 years Tax experience in a CA environmentLegal background and/or CA qualificationComfortable interpreting legislationCorporate tax compliance experienceStrong technical and analytical skills BENEFITS Thrive in a collaborative culture that drives a focus on excellence.
Our office is completely open plan, no closed doors. Meaning you are able to communicate and gain exposure to everyone in the team and what they are doing. You will know everyone's name and who they are, including Partners.
You'll get more access to Partners and client engagement.
We have roughly 40 team members, and 7 Partners in our Corporate Tax team. This means from day one you will gain hands on experience and exposure to our clients, and working with Senior Leaders to drive team success.
