Tax Manager - 100% remote (WFH in NZ) Fully remote + 37.5hr week NO OVERSEAS BASED APPLICANTS please The Client Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Accountant.
You do NOT need to be CA qualified, but you do need to have experience from within a NZ Chartered Accountants environment reviewing other Accountants' work.
This company assists organisations and small businesses in Australia to start up in NZ, taking care of all things involved and looking after their NZ tax requirements.
The Role Work closely alongside the Partner to assist with a diverse range of client queries and ad hoc projects.
The large proportion of compliance work is taken care of by the Accounting/BAS team, thus you will focus more on technical tax queries and client relationships.
DUTIES: Some GST, FBT & Income Tax returns.
Day-to-day reviewing of and liaising with staff regarding the above (including annual financial statements) that have been prepared by the Accounting team.
Engaging with tax authorities on behalf of clients and managing client relationships.
Overseeing NZ company closures.
Working with the admin team on workflow planning.
You: We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant with experience in GST and Financial Statements.
This role suits someone who has reviewed other Accountants' work from within a Chartered Accountancy practice (only, & essential); who has a mature outlook and is looking to settle into this role which will be of enormous help to the Australian-based Kiwi Partner.
You must have been responsible for reviewing GST/FBT/Income Tax/Rental property tax returns and Financial Statements.
Client management experience.
Minimum of 5 years within a NEW ZEALAND CA Firm.
Be tech-savvy, as this is an online practice.
XERO (XPM), MYOB, CCH working papers experience.
FYI docs, AML, NZ Co's office, co-compliance helpful (not essential).
Very clear, easily understood communication, i.e., clear diction for online communications.
Offer: WFH remotely, i.e., from anywhere in NZ.
Monday-Friday role, flexible hours, 37.5 hour week (e.g., 9am to 5pm).
Great small team.
Negotiable salary based on experience.
NOTE: A candidate seeking to retain their own private accounting clients at the same time will NOT be suited to this role.
