Tax Administrator

Established over 60 years ago, Gabites Limited prides itself on being at the forefront of Chartered Accountancy in Mid Canterbury, offering a broad range of accounting, business advisory services and taxation advice.
We are a busy practice comprising of 4 directors and 30 staff. We have a dedicated administration team that works closely with the wider staff.
We operate from a modern open plan office in the Ashburton CBD.
The Role
The role is for a tax administrator working within our administration team, in our busy Ashburton Accountancy Practice. The role includes tax processing, reviewing assessments and all other associated taxation and ACC requirements for our clients. The applicant will be liaising with the Inland Revenue, our clients, staff and directors.
The applicant will also support the administration team and assist with other general administration functions within the firm as required.
Full training will be provided on our systems and taxation software.
This is a full-time role or could be a part-time position with flexible hours for the right candidate.
Role Requirements
The applicant will ideally:
have experience in a Chartered Accountancy environment and the tax administration function
be familiar with NZ tax and the Inland Revenue systems
have excellent communication skills
have strong numerical and IT skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
be able to meet deadlines and prioritise workflow
