Management Accountant - Freight

Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting) Bring your strong Finance Functions background and join our National Finance Team where you will contribute to the strategic financial planning and analysis for our Freight Division.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports.
Provide insights into financial performance and variances.
Assess financial risks and growth opportunities through cost/benefit analysis.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the Freight division.
Provide consolidated subsidiary budget/forecast, performance, position, and variance analysis.
Deliver high-quality business partnering and financial expertise and insights to the Freight Operations teams.
Liaise with the wider Finance Team to understand business needs and financial requirements.
Ensure the seamless integration and functionality of financial systems to support accurate and timely information for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Provide training and support to team members to enhance their proficiency in finance software and adherence to established processes.
Collaboratively identify opportunities for process improvements within the financial functions of the Freight division.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes to optimize workflow.
Actively seek learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Comply with and promote the Company's Health, Safety, and compliance requirements.
Your skills and experience: Minimum of 5 years Management Accountancy experience.
Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Working knowledge of NZ compliance, accounting, employment, and tax law.
Understanding of the NZ Transport & Logistics Industry highly regarded.
High computer literacy with experience in navigating and utilizing large software systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with NetSuite and Business Intelligence reporting.
Collaborative working style with the ability to positively influence your peers.
Committed to continuous improvement with the ability to formulate and execute strategies.
Must be a New Zealand or Australian Resident.
