Mo tenei mahi | About this job We are currently seeking two newly created, permanent part-time (20 hours per week) Tauira Journey Coordinators (TJC), based in Te Awamutu. This role will have rostered work hours between 8:30am and 9.00pm, Mondays to Sundays. As the Tauira Journey Coordinator for Te Ata Hapara (TAH), you will play a vital role in supporting tauira throughout their educational journey, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals. You'll provide personalized, needs-based outreach, ensuring that tauira feel supported every step of the way. From following up with early withdrawals and no-shows to responding promptly to inquiries, your role is centred around exceptional customer service and building positive relationships. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance student success, while upholding the values and integrity of Te Wananga o Aotearoa. Mou | About you The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting our tauira and will possess a strong communication style, empathy, and a commitment to foster tauira success. You will also bring with you: NCEA Level 3 NZ Certificate in Contact Centre (Level 3) or New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) (Level 4) is advantageous Full New Zealand Driver's License 3+ years proven experience in listening and communication skills 3+ years proven ability to apply initiative and common sense in a variety of situations 3+ years proven experience in dealing with a variety of callers, including distressed tauira As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
