Tairawhiti Younger Provision Teacher / ManagerFull time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/11/2024, End Date: 27/01/2027 (A collaboration between Ilminster Intermediate and Gisborne Intermediate to establish the Tairawhiti Younger Provision Approach)Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacherSubjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.A community-based collaboration between Ilminster Intermediate and Gisborne Intermediate that empowers and supports vulnerable rangatahi to thrive while remaining engaged and successful in education.Overview: We seek a dynamic person to lead the Tairawhiti Younger Provision intervention, dedicated to fostering educational and social growth for at-risk tamariki (children) and their whanau (families). This role is newly created to support Y7–8 students who are at risk of disengaging from education to be successful at school.This role focuses on driving the vision, building strong relationships, coordinating educational and support services, and serving as a central contact.
