Are you passionate about technology and eager to support University staff and students with their cutting-edge research and teaching? As the Systems Support Technician at the School of Forestry, you'll bring your technical expertise to maintain and enhance our computer systems, specialised research equipment, and field activities. From managing our computer labs and software to supporting innovative data collection with tools like drones and GPS, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling our staff and students to excel. You'll also be hands-on in the field, assisting with equipment and contributing to impactful research initiatives. Mou | Who You Are
You have experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), ideally gained in large networked multi-user environments as well as the following:
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skillsCompetence in the use and basic troubleshooting of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and computer hardware.Experience with, or willingness to learn, spatial technologies and tools, like drones, GPS, and GISThe ability to support occasional multi-day field trips around New ZealandThe ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as to work alone.Are passionate about supporting students and their studies.An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work With
