Our business is continuing to grow, and we currently have an opening for a self-motivated IT Systems Administrator to support both our internal teams and our internal applications. The ideal candidate will be well presented, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills including a strong focus on internal customer service excellence.Day to day the role will:Work with the System Administrator and Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide first line technical support to the wider iPayroll team for IT systems, desktop support, applications, and API systems.Assist the CIO in maintaining and improving internal business systems to improve productivity and streamline internal team processesWork with the Cyber Security Specialist, Systems Administrator and wider team to ensure internal network design and controls meet requirementsAssist with internal and external ISMS audits and ensure policies and procedures are followed and registers regularly updated Perform regular equipment maintenance including firmware for machine bios, printers, switches, wireless equipment, workstation device wiping and builds Assist in network deployment, physical installs and patching etc., and maintain documentationConduct Antivirus and Malware checks, email quarantine results, and conduct clean ups as requiredAssist with Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) work as requiredTo be considered, you must have: Worked in mission critical support environments and have a strong eye for detailExcellent time management and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to create and maintain internal documentation for network and ISMS processesGood general ICT knowledge and troubleshooting / problem-solving skillsSkill in scripting languages and/or automation tools such as PowerShell, shell scripts etcA positive attitude, be a team player and have a natural willingness to help othersExperience providing technical support both locally and remotely And you also need to have:1-3 years system administration on Windows, and Linux operating systems1-2 years of experience using scripting or programming languages, especially for internal systemsIT fault diagnosis and end user support experience, including Microsoft Office365, Exchange 365 user administration, network patching and printer troubleshooting experienceUnderstanding of networking both in Corporate and Cloud EnvironmentsExcellent understanding of Windows, Mac & Linux administrationExperience working in an application support environment, with knowledge of development and testing processesExperience with hardware and networking equipment maintenance and patchingAwareness of ISO 27001 standards, controls and how these are commonly applied to Financial Organisations would be an assetThere may also be a requirement to travel to other offices to assist in IT changes periodically.
