Senior Security Analyst

About the Role

Joining our public sector client as a Senior Security Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the security strategy of our client's operations. You'll leverage your expertise in Azure Lighthouse, Microsoft Sentinel, and Azure DevOps to manage security processes in a complex hybrid environment. Your leadership and mentoring skills will be vital as you guide and develop junior analysts. You'll also be expected to take ownership of projects and deliver critical security initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead security initiatives with Azure Lighthouse and Sentinel
Design and implement security playbooks, automation rules, and analytical queries
Mentor and guide junior security analysts
Support both technical and operational security areas including SIEM, firewalls, and scripting
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as PSR, NZISM, and ISO 27001/27002
Skills and Experience Required
Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Sentinel Logic Apps
In-depth knowledge of Azure Lighthouse
Expertise in cyber security for hybrid environments, including incident management
Familiarity with frameworks such as PSR, NZISM, and NIST
Experience with security tools like Tenable, Nessus, and NMAP
Ability to obtain and maintain a New Zealand Government security clearance
