About the Role | Mo te Turanga
Reporting to the Sustainable Sourcing Manager, this role will support our work to ensure that we uphold our sustainability values and requirements when deciding which suppliers to use or which products to source. Sustainable Sourcing scope includes but is not limited to animal welfare, sustainable agriculture and seafood, and high impact commodities.
Core responsibilities include:

Support business partnering to rollout, embed and monitor sustainable sourcing due diligence - including with the Woolworths Food Co NZ team during new product development.
Support data integrity through adherence to management procedures and stakeholder engagement.
Work collaboratively to implement climate and nature-related strategies and work programmes as they relate to sustainable sourcing activities.
Contributing to the internal (and external where relevant) reporting process for sustainable sourcing (monthly, quarterly and annually).
Identifying gaps, best practices and opportunities to improve sustainable production of food and everyday goods within our business.

About You | Mou

A Degree qualification (or equivalent experience), specialising in corporate social responsibility, sustainable agriculture or environmental sciences or related.
Experience in the field of sustainable procurement/supply chain/sourcing, compliance and/or auditing with knowledge of global and domestic supply chain issues particularly in high risk areas.
Experience working with stakeholders, building relationships, communicating insights, and managing change and action plans.
Familiarity/working knowledge of the regulatory settings in Aotearoa New Zealand related to sustainability.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
