What will you do? We are on the lookout for a Sustainability Manager to join our Christchurch team to lead the way in ensuring a sustainable future for Ryman, and embed sustainable decision making across all areas of our organisation.
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of Ryman's sustainability framework, enhancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) outcomes and driving progress towards our sustainability goals.
You will work closely with other key parts of the organisation, and you will play a critical role in helping Ryman meet its sustainability obligations while driving internal engagement and fostering a culture of sustainability. You will inspire teams across the organisation to integrate sustainable practices into their daily operations and decision-making, ensuring that our long-term strategies align with our ESG commitments. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for innovation, influence policy development, and collaborate with stakeholders to position Ryman as a leader in sustainable retirement living.
Other key responsibilities include:
Identify and prioritise sustainability goals based on Ryman's operational needsPlan and manage the annual sustainability report and climate related disclosuresOversee initiatives across the business that support the company's ESG goals and reduce its environmental footprintMonitor and maintain accuracy of the relevant data and environmental metricsKeep up to date with the latest legislation, regulation and reporting obligations, ensuring that Ryman's reporting remains best in classWhat's in it for you?
