We care about our people, community, and the environment and we are committed to operating our business in a sustainable way.Our Infrastructure and Environmental Team is responsible for providing and maintaining land, sea, and wharf infrastructure associated with port operations, and ensuring port operational practices comply with safety and environmental standards.The Sustainability and Climate Advisor will play a key role providing strategic evidence-based analysis and advice to support the company's sustainability and climate change response, and will work collaboratively with other key partners and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage sustainability initiativesTake the lead in preparing CRD and GHG emissions inventory to ensure compliance with the Aotearoa New Zealand Climate StandardsAdvise on environmental risks and opportunities (including those related to climate change and natural capital), performance, compliance, and oversight arising from port operationsChampion a culture of awareness of sustainability issuesSkills and Experience Required:3-5 years' experience working in an environmental management roleA deep understanding of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issuesAble to understand complex data, distil key messages, and provide objective, valid, and considered advice for decision-makersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and advocate for change in the status quoExperience leading and delivering complex policy work programmesIf you require further information about this position, please contact Thomas Lewis at ******.
