Sushi Shop Manager

Details of the offer

Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of the Sushi shop's food menus.
Collaborate with chefs to design and plan menus, ensuring variety, authenticity, and seasonal specials.
Organise and plan special events, catering, or other unique dining experiences to enhance customer engagement.
Arrange for the purchasing and pricing of ingredients and supplies, keeping within budget constraints while maintaining product quality.
Manage advertising and marketing for the Sushi shop and organise promotions.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages and minimise waste.
Ensure that the sushi shop complies with all health and safety regulations, keeping dining areas clean, functional, and visually appealing.
Interact with customers to assess their satisfaction with the food and service, and promptly address any concerns or feedback.
Select, train, and supervise waiting and kitchen staff, ensuring a high standard of service and cooperation.
Ensure staff performance and handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
May assist in taking reservations, greeting guests, and occasionally taking orders during peak hours.
Manage the shop's budget and establish plans to achieve financial goals through various methods.
Roster staff to ensure optimal coverage during operational hours.
Maintain financial records and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

At least three years of relevant management work experience in a restaurant, café, sushi shop, or similar establishment, OR
A tertiary qualification in business management or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must have a clean criminal record.

Pay Range & Hours:

Pay rate: $29.66 to $32 per hour
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week and maximum 45 hours, from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
