A busy sushi shop located in the commercial area of the beautiful Browns Bay in Northshore, Auckland.
We serve a wide range of yummy and healthy sushi products for both dine in and takeaway customers.
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Manager to lead our team to deliver authentic cuisine and exceptional customer service to our neighbourhood.This is a full-time, permanent role.You will work for a minimum of 40 hours between 6:00 am to 1:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm by roster, on Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, we close on Tuesday.Responsibilities:Greeting customers, taking orders and receiving payments.Prepare sushi rice, teriyaki sauce, cut salmon, make crab salad, mushrooms salad and seaweed saladWash, cut, measure, and mix food and ingredientsCreate visually gorgeous and delicious sushi rolls, nigiri, tofu pocket, fried chickendeep fried rice ballOperate cooking equipment including rice cooker, grills, fryer, Micro-wave oven, sushi cut machine, etcEnsure freshness and quality of ingredients by comping with food safety standards.Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and organised workflow.Clean food preparation areas and equipment before closingContribute ideas for new sushi dishes and seasonal specialsRequirements:Ideally you would have proven experience as a sushi maker however this is NOT a must.
We will provide on-the-job training for suitable candidates.Enthusiasm for culinary and learning cooking techniquesStrong understanding of culinary and ingredients.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining qualityExcellent communication and teamwork skills.Able to work in the early morning, and work on both Saturday and Sunday.Hold a food safety certificateConfident in cash handlingBeing able to pass health and criminal checks if requiredJoin us and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
