Working with our clients and partners, CPB Contractors is delivering important and iconic projects across all key sectors of the construction industry, meaning we offer significant and diverse work opportunities.The ProjectThe New Dunedin Hospital project is the single largest hospital project ever undertaken in New Zealand.Highly experienced in the delivery of healthcare facilities across Australasia, CPB has been awarded the Early Contractor Engagement Contract for the Inpatients building, by Te Whatu Ora.Spanning 74,000m2 and being constructed on the former Cadbury Chocolate Factory, the Inpatients Building will provide high quality medical facilities, a better layout of services and support its role as a tertiary teaching hospital.Onsite services will include 410 beds, 26 operating theatres, imaging suites and radiology. With a five Green Star sustainability rating, the building's design and use of latest technology will mean greater efficiency, including patient flow, improved access to diagnostics and treatment spaces, reducing unnecessary delays.As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for completing various tasks including estimating, planning, cost management, cost monitoring and accurate, timely financial reporting to proactively maximise value for our client. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your previous success, gained from a successful career to maximise resources and relationships to deliver results.Minimum RequirementsExperience working on commercial construction projects, working with a high number of subcontractors, with a tier 1 or tier 2 contractor.Effective communication skills both written and verbalStrong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamExperience with large complex contractsConflict resolution skills, and the ability to negotiate positive outcomesThe ability to engage with subcontractors, and to communicate with people at all levels to ensure productivity, compliance, and drive results.As the successful candidate you will need to be a self-starter who is highly motivated, well organised and committed to the highest possible work standards.
