Our client is in his 30s who lives in his family home and receives care 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. Hours available between Monday to Sunday daytime 8am-5pm, nights 5pm-8am (awake shift) and weekend or alternate weekends.He has a dedicated and supportive team attending to him. He has a range of complex conditions and needs.We are looking for a special Support Worker who is energetic, willing to learn, and has a caring fun and compassionate nature to fit into the current team of Support Workers who provide care to this client and support him to achieve his goals and enjoy his daily life activities. The ideal candidate needs to have flexibility in covering mixture of shifts, and have a good attitude and a willingness to learn are essential attributes.Experience in the disability setting is desirable but not essential as full training in the support needs of the client will be provided. The duties will be assisting with all personal cares, feeding, and working with client and therapists to extend abilities, supporting outings in the community, and completing daily house hold tasks.The successful person will also need to meet the following criteria:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsEmpathy, patience and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needsAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyHold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable carClear spoken EnglishWillingness to undergo relevant training and developmentWhat we offer:Competitive hourly rate ranging from $24.08 per hour up to $29.98 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, and paid travel.
