Hours available between Monday to Sunday daytime 8am-5pm, nights 5pm-8am (awake shift), and weekend or alternate weekends. We need people who are energetic, willing to learn, have a caring, fun, and compassionate nature and will fit into the current teams of Support Workers who provide care to our clients and support them to achieve their goals and enjoy daily life activities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide personalised support to individuals in their own home in accordance with care plans and preferences.Duties vary depending on our client's individual needs; some of the tasks are likely to include assisting with personal cares, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.Promote independence and social inclusion by facilitating community outings, recreational activities, and social interactions.Build positive relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and collaborative environment.Document client progress, observations, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.RequirementsExperience in the disability or aged care sector is a distinct advantage; however, it is not essential as training can be provided to support the needs of the particular client if the support worker is willing to learn.The successful person will also need to meet the following criteria:Minimum of 12 months of relevant work experience or Health and Wellbeing level 3 (or equivalent)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsEmpathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable carBe clear spokenWillingness to undergo relevant training and developmentWhat we offerCompetitive hourly rate ranging from $24.08 per hour up to $29.98 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, and paid travel.
