Volunteering as an Ambulance and Events officer is a big commitment that provides huge rewards. By working on community events and on an ambulance your role is varied, but the focus is always on providing quality care to patients.

Our Ambulance & Events Officers provide care and support to our patients through their journey which may start at a 111 call and end either being referred to another health care provider, treated on scene, or transported to a medical facility. As an Events Volunteer, you could be covering anything from local and international sports events to school fairs or a rock concert.

Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:

Before you apply; you will need the following:

A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)

To be 18 years of age or over

A New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status

A Clean Police record

To be able to pass the St John assessment requirements - physical and health questionnaire / literacy / numeracy test plus an interview
