We are looking for Permanent full-time and part-time Support Workers for night shifts to help the people we support in Nelson residential services.
What does a Support Worker do?
This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and helping them do the things they want to do, such as going swimming, personal care, meal support, household management tasks, and teaching life skills. Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential for additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

Who are we looking for?
People who are passionate about helping others, and are kind and understanding.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviors.
Full driver's license is essential.
Somebody who has the initiative to encourage people to achieve their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others' thinking and their way of living life, which may be different from your own.
Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
