Support Services Coordinator: Be at the Heart of Aged Care

About the Role
The Support Services Coordinator is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the hospitality services within the Care Home and services apartments. You coordinate the kitchen, cleaning, laundry, and maintenance service to deliver high-quality support services to the care home and independent village, so our residents feel comfortable and at home.
This is a permanent full-time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The start and finish times are flexible for the right candidate. On occasion, there might be the need to work in the kitchen cooking, so experience working in a commercial kitchen is desirable (but not essential).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage the kitchen, household, laundry, maintenance, and gardening employees.
Work collaboratively with the other heads of department to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Care Home and Village.
Focus on first impressions and the impact of support services on the resident experience.
Improve the quality of support services through a focus on the customer experience.
Coordinate the completion of training, achievement of competencies, and performance reviews of direct reports.
Rostering and leave management of the support services team.
Take part in Bupa's internal audit programme relating to areas of responsibility.
About you
Previous experience managing, leading, and coaching teams of hospitality staff.
The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, managers, teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning, organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, work under pressure and multitask.
An understanding of quality assurance and quality improvement activities
