(Salary midpoint for this position is $69,022 per annum) Korero mo te Turanga - About the Role We are seeking a Support Officer to join the Business Support team which sits within the Programmes and Planning directorate of Policy & Trade.

As a Support Officer, you will play an integral part within the business support team, providing logistical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the business unit.
As part of your role, you will analyse workflows, systems, and processes to coordinate and identify relevant improvement opportunities to enhance the capability of the branch support function.
As part of this role, you will: * Coordinate and provide support for meetings, including arranging domestic travel, accommodation, catering, and providing tech support.
* Act as a goods receiver for the business unit, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices through effective communication with Policy & Trade staff, our accounts teams, and external stakeholders.
* Facilitate and provide general administrative and logistical support, acting as a subject matter expert for relevant MPI corporate systems and databases.
* Work flexibly and collaboratively with the Business Support team and Executive Coordinators to ensure that support for Policy & Trade is delivered effectively.
* Identify any relevant system and process improvement opportunities within the Directorates and wider business unit.

Mo to matou Ropu - About the Team This is a Wellington based role reporting to the Team Manager Business Support and working alongside a collaborative team of Support Officers as well as Executive Coordinators.
While you will report to the Team Manager Business Support and work closely with your team, you will have the opportunity to sit with other Policy & Trade directorates to provide efficient and timely support while building meaningful relationships.
