Tenei turanga - About the Role: The Refugee and Migrant Services branch sits within the Immigration Branch. The Refugee Status Unit is responsible for deciding claims for Refugee and Protection Status in New Zealand.
An opportunity exists for a motivated Support Officer in the Refugee Status Unit with the Refugee and Migrant Services Branch of Immigration New Zealand. As Support Officer, you will contribute to the operations of the Unit by:
Data entry, e.g., for confirmation of claim forms
Managing information systems: recording, storing, and retrieving information in written and electronic formats
Being the public face of the unit – assisting claimants and their lawyers and responding to inquiries from the public
Processing invoices
General administration duties

Good appreciation of quality service delivery and excellent organising ability
Ability to deliver in strict timeframes
