Macdonald Steel is a 100% New Zealand owned family business, with a strong reputation for sourcing, importing and distributing quality steel products in New Zealand and Australia for more than 70 years.
A rare opportunity to join this successful business has arisen for a motivated team player, with second to none administration and sales support skills.
As a key member of a small, busy team, you will be responsible for a wide range of sales support, administration, customer service and lead generation activities.
Just some of the tasks you will be undertaking are: Providing support for the sales and store team Taking and processing phone orders Regional sales and financial administration Maintaining regular contact with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction Assisting with lead generation Quoting and closing jobs Managing Upper North Island distribution, working with customers to provide industry-leading customer service Identifying and developing new opportunities in line with company growth targets Assisting with receipt of stock into ERP system as required The culture at Macdonald Steel is high performing, collegial, positive and relaxed, and you will have the opportunity to work with a fantastic group of talented and highly motivated people.

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours) based in south Auckland.
Person Profile : A strong administrator with a keen eye for process Experience in similar administration/support roles (e.g., sales support, customer service) Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders The ability to work methodically and systematically with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Highly developed written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and uses initiative Ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes A communicative and open style with a 'no surprises' approach Proficient in using Microsoft Office and previous experience with cloud-based software Knowledge of steel products is an advantage Applications to : Nikki Walshaw via mclaren.co.nz Position description: Available to view at mclaren.co.nz #J-18808-Ljbffr
