Details of the offer

We are seeking a compassionate person to support our Dementia Advisors with ensuring our Kapiti Living Well group and COG café Group sessions run smoothly. You will be helping the attendees to participate in group discussions, sometimes that will involve sitting alongside someone who maybe hard of hearing or has some difficulty with communicating. The role also involves helping with setting up and packing down the room, greeting clients, helping with morning tea and generally assisting the Dementia Advisors during the sessions. Training will be provided. Reimbursement for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses as agreed prior to the incurring of such expenses.
Requirements:
Great interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to lift chairs. Experience with dementia not essential as Advisors will support you. You will be patient, empathic and able to recognise when someone needs support.

Time commitment:
1st and 3rd Thursday of the month 9.30-11.30 (Kapiti Living Well Group)
2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month 10-11am (Cog Café)
