Company Description
Are you a dynamic professional with a blend of strong commercial acumen, supply planning, and logistics expertise? We're looking for a Supply Chain Specialist – Supply Planning to play a pivotal role in revolutionising our stock flow processes in a brand-new team within our company.
The Warehouse Group (TWG) has become a Kiwi household name, and we proudly recognise the role that we play in communities throughout New Zealand. We are the largest general merchandise retailer in NZ across The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery & Noel Leeming. We are at an exciting point in our journey where our focus is on becoming brand-centric, aiming to deliver an unparalleled experience for our customers. By being brand-led and retail-focused, we are intentional about placing the right people in the right roles, allowing us to perform work that truly makes a difference.
Job Description This isn't just any supply chain role; this is your opportunity to be at the forefront of a transformation. Initially, you'll be part of the Transformational Phase , where you'll help reshape the way stock flows into our business. Your expertise will be key in setting up and optimising our systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Once this phase is successfully completed, your focus will transition to the Run Work Phase , where you'll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, ensuring that our stock flow remains efficient and effective.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Transformational Phase: Contribute to the redesign and implementation of new systems and processes to optimise stock flow from supplier into our network, working closely with a small, focused team.
Run Work Phase: Oversee the maintenance and fine-tuning of stock flow processes, ensuring they align with our commercial objectives and operational needs (capacity planning and product handling).
Utilise Relex as our primary planning tool to monitor and manage stock phasing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring supplier to network planning parameters are designed and managed to deliver optimal total cost of ownership results.
Qualifications Highly commercial, insightful and decisive in your thinking, you are passionate about your skillset and have an innate curiosity for 'how we can do better' to provide the best products at the right time for our customers.
Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills will be essential to unlock collaboration, productivity and speed to market – this is key to our way of working! Your drive to contribute whilst taking ownership means you work effectively, both independently and collaboratively to deliver your best work and commercial results for the business.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Commercial Knowledge: A deep understanding of why stock flow is critical, including its impact ultimately on EBIT, Working Capital and overall business performance.
Ordering Expertise: Proficiency in stock phasing best practice (MRP/DRP principles) including the management of forecast accuracy, order cycles, order parameters, safety stocks, lead times, order multiples, order minimums, open orders and inventory record accuracy.
Operational Experience: Familiarity with how stock moves within the supply chain including manufacture, storage, loading, shipping, devanning, warehousing and distribution, and understanding how stock flow impacts operations and how operations impact stock flow.
Commercial Fundamentals: A solid grasp of financial principles, including Total Cost of Ownership and ROIC, with strong analytical skills that will help you understand the financial implications of supply chain decisions.
Additional Information Innovative Environment: Be part of a new function within our company, where your ideas and input will directly shape our future.
Career Growth: As this role evolves from transformation to maintenance, so will your career, offering you unique opportunities to expand your skill set.
Small Team, Big Impact: Work in a close-knit team where your contributions will be visible and valued.
We offer a dynamic, flexible and supportive team environment working with like-minded people within a business that cares about and recognises individuals.
We also offer a range of benefits that work for you, your lifestyle and your career which include flexible working arrangements, team member discounts, wellbeing support, leave benefits and more!
MAKE SUSTAINABLE LIVING EASY AND AFFORDABLE FOR EVERYONE! Don't hesitate. APPLY
