Have a sound understanding of Transport compliance and regulations.
Experience managing and influencing large teams.
Understanding of financial metrics and PNL.
Negotiation skills as pertains to carrier and supplier management.
Be a trusted contributor to the LNI Leadership team and influence decision-making for the best business outcomes.
A champion in all aspects of health and safety – with sound understanding of OSH regulations, food safety, and DC hazards.

Responsibilities
To ensure the efficient and effective leadership, and data integrity of a designated department through constant forward planning, organising, change management, direction, and control.
Ensure that all operational departments are resourced, run efficiently, and are regularly reviewed for continual improvement.
Maintain operation within budgeted constraints – challenging what can be done smarter.
Ensure standards are delivered across all Key Result Areas through direct leadership of team leaders and ensuring close collaboration to deliver customer service with all other key stakeholders.
Promote a People First Culture ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with Foodstuffs North Island Ltd policies and procedures, Safety Plan, and current legislative requirements.
Lead the team encouraging them to work as one and be the best they can be, building on and encouraging a high level of engagement.
Review team performance to maintain operational performance in a cost-effective way, ensuring that team concerns or issues are actioned or escalated.
Drive service excellence and guide the operational excellence of our business, often challenging the status quo.
Continue to develop expertise and knowledge around the Foodstuffs network within our operations.
