ABOUT YOU The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships and acting as the supply chain focal point of contact. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to source, develop, and manage supplier relationships in New Zealand. The Supplier Relationship Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the company meets its financial and operational objectives by optimising costs and business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supplier Relationship Management: Managing suppliers' relationships and conducting periodical supplier performance reviews.Purchasing: Purchasing raw materials and finished goods to satisfy production and supply to each channel in good quality.Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and working on optimising stock levels, minimising excess or obsolete inventory, and ensuring product availability to meet customer demand.Capacity Planning: Collaborating with co-manufacturers to assess and plan for capacity requirements based on demand forecasts. Identifying potential constraints and bottlenecks in production and proposing solutions to maximise efficiency and utilisation of resources.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Fostering strong relationships and communication channels with various departments, including sales, marketing, finance, brand management, and supply chain teams.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Developing and implementing purchasing and planning scorecards to measure the effectiveness of the S&OP process.Change Management: Leading change management for supply chain initiatives in New Zealand. Effectively communicating the benefits, objectives, and expected outcomes to stakeholders and facilitating the adoption of new processes and tools.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.Open-minded and adaptable to change.Proven experience in supply chain management.Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of S&OP processes, methodologies, and best practices.Strong project management abilities.Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and work under tight deadlines.Continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
