The salary range for this position is $79,656 - $100,639 - flexible working supported
Permanent, full-time role based from Wellington, Christchurch or Auckland, location flexibility negotiable for right applicant.

Due to the evolving and complex nature of procurement, we have recently transitioned to a centralised, category led operating model to provide more strategic and best practice service to the business. This new model will enable DOC to deliver on its key strategic focus areas such as strengthening our Treaty partnerships and providing strong support for our frontline staff.
He angitutanga | About the role: This position is not your typical Procurement role - we are open to individuals who bring a strong reporting and analytical skillset but may not have had much exposure to the world of Procurement (but eager to learn!). Reporting to the Procurement Best Practice Lead, the Supplier Advisor will provide ongoing support to the overarching procurement processes and policies by developing reporting requirements, dashboards, completing analysis and ensuring best practice guidelines are followed to empower the business in their daily procurement activities.
Other areas you may be focussed on include:
Gathering and interpreting market research data to support guidance provided to stakeholders
Develop reporting and insights for both the team and our stakeholders to be self-sufficient in gathering basic data
Analyse procurement spend to identify commercial opportunities to decrease costs and increase efficiency
Assisting with the development and upkeep of procurement templates, processes and internal procurement hub
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes
Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience: If you have some of the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:
Recent experience (3 – 5 years) in a support role, ideally where you've had a strong reporting and analytical focus drawing insights from data collated
Tertiary qualification (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business), or commensurate experience in procurement and/or the commercial sector
Tech savvy, you have intermediate Excel skills and may have had exposure to other programmes or systems such as SAP and PowerBI
Big picture and inquisitive thinker – able to understand, comprehend, probe and ask appropriate questions to get the right information to progress tasks and projects
Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders, suppliers, and senior managers
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and internal/ external stakeholders building strong working relationships
Exposure within a Government agency environment would be viewed favourably
An understanding of why the Maori Crown relationship is important to DOC.
