We do this by:protecting conservation land and waters, species, ecosystems, and cultural heritage for conservation purposesmanaging threats and adverse impactsbeing a voice for conservationconnecting people to nature.The position will be focussed on:You will lead, coach, and inspire your team of direct reports by planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work with your team while fostering a great working culture. You'll work closely with your team to deliver agreed work programmes and guide them through training, supervision and administrative tasks.Your key focus will be supporting the Biodiversity team, but you'll also work with other Supervisors and assist across all programmes of work including Heritage and Visitor, and the Visitor Centre.Assist in the day to day running of the DOC Stewart/ Rakiura office, supporting logistics and compliance related work.Work with community groups, volunteers, and iwi.This is predominantly an office-based role focusing on staff leadership and management, and supporting your team to be technical experts in the field.
