IN SAFE HANDSSupervised Contact Service Coordinator Role "Supporting Families and Whanau" - "Caring for tamariki (children)"
We are currently seeking a Supervised Contact Supervisor (working alongside our Coordinator) to join our dynamic whanau in Tauranga. The "In Safe Hands" service provides a holistic and whanau-centred service to individuals, families and whanau.
The Supervised Contact Supervisor shares responsibility for the coordination and safe supervision of children and young people who are having visits with family and/or whanau members following separation, as a result of directions and/or orders in relation to formal access.
The Supervised Contact Supervisor (SCS) will have an understanding of or a willingness to learn, Family Court processes and orders for supervision, by a Supervised Contact provider (In Safe Hands). In addition, the SCS will have an understanding of or a willingness to receive training in the following areas:
Knowledge and experience in care and protection family work.Knowledge of Family Court law and practice pertaining to Supervised Contact.Knowledge, understanding and practice of Tikanga Maori or a willingness to learn.Ability to work with whanau in culturally and linguistically diverse and respectful ways.Knowledge of Te Whare Tapa Wha model, or a willingness to learn.Clean drivers licence.Able to effectively manage potential conflict situations (if necessary). Contact Service hours are Fridays 0800 – 2000; Saturdays 0800 – 2000; Sundays 0800 – 2000; Mondays ******** .
