Full Time Application Closes 09 May 2024 Hawkes Bay - Napier Student Services Directors Mo Tenei Turanga Mahi | About the RoleA permanent opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Accommodation Manager to join our Hawke's Bay campus, Student and Academic Services team in a full-time capacity. This position is a pivotal role within our organisation dedicated to managing a range of student-focused accommodation services to EIT, to foster a supportive, safe and respectful residential community.The Student Accommodation Manager is based in our EIT | Te Pukenga, Hawkes Bay campus reporting to the Learner Support Services Manager and will be responsible for: Managing all student accommodation applications Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 and amendments, particularly with outcomes relevant to student accommodation. Establishing relationships with residents and enabling good information sharing and compliance with the housing rules and expected behaviours. Liaising with Finance regarding fee payments, debt collection and reporting. Providing and maintaining a detailed escalation process and contact list for residents and kaimahi to assist with resident safety issues/emergencies out of hours or when otherwise unavailable. Working closely with Facilities Manager and team, to ensure accommodation is well presented and maintained to acceptable standards. He Korero mou | About you Tertiary qualification in a relevant field: Service Industry, Tourism, Business, Trades, or equivalent body of knowledge gained through experience. Experience managing in the accommodation industry and staff, preferably tertiary hostels, but motel/motor camp facility management is relevant. Knowledge of the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021, particularly with outcomes relevant to the student accommodation. Good organisational and administrative skills and a proven ability to plan and meet deadlines.
