Have you led a programme or been heavily involved in an athletic strength & conditioning programme?If the answer is 'YES' to the above questions, we'd love to hear from you as we seek to recruit someone to join our S&C Team on a part-time basis.We are currently seeking a quality candidate for work within our North Harbour Pathway and Performance Rugby programmes.
You will work with a wide variety of players who will have varying degrees of experience in their strength and conditioning.
You will play a pivotal role in helping them develop their physical attributes to continue to grow and prosper in the North Harbour Rugby environment.'The Harbour Way' outlines how we think about our people and our environment; if the following resonates with you, take the time to apply.Be A TEAM: "Put the Team (Union) first and be proud of who we represent"Be CONNECTED: "Connect together with our Community"Be ABOUT PEOPLE: "Value our People and help others reach their goal"Be THE EXAMPLE: "Lead with Integrity and do what we say we are going to do"As one of our Strength & Conditioning Coaches, you will manage and coordinate the implementation of the North Harbour Rugby Union's Athletic Development plan in consultation with the Head of Strength & Conditioning to meet the needs of pathway athletes.Key Tasks:STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACHLead the preparation in conjunction with the Head of Strength & Conditioning to deliver planning, implementation, and execution of the Athletic Performance programme for North Harbour's pathway environment.Manage the gym facility to ensure authorized use and that all hazards, near misses, incidents, or accidents are identified and reported.Ensure all pathway athletes are provided with, understand, and adhere to their programmes.Ensure all pathway athletes are consistently and continually assessed/monitored.For those athletes that are heading towards high-performance status, ensure regular reporting to North Harbour coaches, Super Rugby Partners, and NZ Rugby on pathway athlete progress.Provide and prescribe training programmes specific to player positional and personal needs, with a solid understanding of the demands associated with each position.Provide players and support staff with player-specific progress reports and monitoring information.Collaborate with the Head and Assistant Coaches of pathways teams to ensure all player needs are met and catered for, and all training sessions and game day preparation are executed correctly.Ensure the schedule best fits the requirements of the team and is updated correctly.If much of the above has you excited to know more, please apply and provide us with a covering letter and CV explaining why you think you'd be a good fit with us and what rugby strength & conditioning experience you can bring.Please visit our website for the full job description: www.harbourrugby.co.nzYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Strength and Conditioning Coach?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory.
