About this role:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a fun and dynamic team? We are seeking a Strategy Manager to join our Strategy team and work on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Council's strategic planning and policy frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, and providing expert guidance to influence strategic direction and decision-making.
What I do?
Engage, motivate, and develop the team, coaching to improve performance/technical abilities and supporting professional development.
Serve as the primary advisor for expert guidance and influencing strategy and policy processes across the Council.
Champion and architect the Strategic Planning Framework, driving the alignment of strategies and plans with the Council's long-term vision and strategic objectives.
Provide strong strategic direction to guide and influence Council decision-making.
Manage growth research and analytics, including land use supply and demand, through the Principal Analyst.
What I bring?
Proven experience in team management with a strong track record of engaging, motivating, and developing staff to improve performance and technical abilities.
Solid understanding of local government systems and processes, including strategic planning, policy development, and implementation.
Experience in leading or supporting strategy and policy development within a public sector or governmental context.

Hours of work: 40 Hours per week
