Strategic Lead Marketing

Whanganui is rapidly growing its reputation for being an attractive and exciting city and region, nationally and internationally. Whanganui District Council's economic development department, Whanganui & Partners, leads services to help the Whanganui economy grow.
We have a vacancy for a Strategic Lead - Marketing to support the marketing of Whanganui as a highly desirable destination for new and existing businesses, residents, entrepreneurs, investors, and other target demographic groups.
The successful candidate will effectively be Whanganui & Partners' chief brand champion, guiding the marketing of sector-specific projects, Whanganui's economic advantages, and its status as a UNESCO City of Design. They will ensure the work of Whanganui & Partners itself is effectively promoted to key stakeholders.
This role offers the opportunity to be a leader in the Whanganui & Partners organisation and, more broadly, as a key person leading the growth of the region. You will play a crucial part in building Whanganui's economic prosperity.
