Digital Marketing Specialist

Details of the offer

Digital & Search Marketing (Marketing & Communications) Full time In the past eight years, The Gift Group has flourished into New Zealand's leading e-commerce gifting powerhouse, delivering beautifully crafted gift solutions across the country. As we continue to grow, we're seeking an agile, flexible, and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to amplify our brand presence, drive e-commerce performance, and ensure our online experience is as exceptional as our products.
A Bit About Us Founded in 2016 with Giftbox Boutique, we transformed the gifting landscape with fresh, contemporary designs. Our momentum earned us the #1 spot in New Zealand's gift box market, along with Deloitte Fast 50 rankings in 2021 and 2022. Since then, we've expanded with our in-house food & beverage line, Gather & Graze, and our funky fun gift brand Little & Luxe, all under the umbrella of The Gift Group. As we scale, our mission is simple: to deliver the ultimate gifting experience to our customers.
About the Role As our Digital Marketing Specialist, you'll work directly with our Operations Manager, managing our digital presence to drive growth, optimise performance, and ensure smooth collaboration with our digital agency. In this role, you'll blend strategy with hands-on execution, adapting quickly to market shifts, leveraging data for constant improvement, and maximizing brand impact across platforms.
Key Responsibilities E-commerce Strategy & Optimisation: Drive our e-commerce and digital marketing strategies, ensuring seamless customer experiences and maximising site performance. Website Performance Management: Monitor site functionality, conduct regular data analyses, and implement improvements that enhance customer experience. Content Marketing & Campaigns: Develop and execute seasonal digital content calendars, manage promotions, and keep our brand voice dynamic and engaging. Agency & Vendor Management: Lead our agency relationships for SEO, Digital Marketing, and third-party services, ensuring alignment and performance against key metrics. Reporting & Insights: Analyse and report on campaign effectiveness, translating data into actionable insights for ongoing optimisation. Content Creation: Contribute to brand content with product photography, basic graphic design, and impactful storytelling. The Ideal Candidate Brings: Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on e-commerce and digital marketing management, with a proven record of driving growth through data-driven strategy. Proactive & Adaptable: Able to multi-task, prioritise effectively, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. A natural problem solver with an appetite for innovation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Shopify, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and SEO. Experience with Facebook Business, CRM systems, and automation platforms like Klaviyo is a plus. Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a love for digging into data to find areas for improvement. Digital Savvy: In-depth knowledge of digital advertising, email marketing, automation, and the latest social media trends. Creativity & Precision: Basic graphic design and photography skills, with a keen eye for delivering engaging, on-brand content. Photoshop skills and experience are vital. Excellent Communication: Strong copywriting skills, comfortable presenting ideas and insights, and building relationships with internal and external teams. The ability to talk confidently to customers on the phone. Why Join Us? At The Gift Group, we value teamwork, creativity, and a sense of humour. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a collaborative environment where you can grow your digital marketing expertise and help shape a beloved New Zealand brand.
Ready to Join the Team? If this sounds like you, submit your application through SEEK, including a cover letter outlining why you're the ideal fit for this dynamic role, along with your CV. Applications close on 27th November 2024, but we'll be shortlisting as applications come in, so apply early!
