Strategic Comms Lead - Auckland - HalterStrategic Communications Lead (Maternity Cover)Lead communications and public relations strategy across New Zealand, Australia, and emerging markets for high-growth, deep-tech company Halter, transforming agriculture with world-first technology for virtual fencing and remote cattle guidance.Halter is pioneering a new way of farming that is more productive and sustainable. Our technology enables farmers to virtually fence and remotely guide cattle, and monitor cows' health 24/7. This requires strategic communications and creative storytelling.As Communications Lead, you will inform and educate about how the Halter system works and the value of Halter to farmers, animals, the environment, and the industry. You will also provide communications advice to the Executive team and collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, animal behaviour specialists, environmentalists, and market growth experts.Key responsibilities include:Strategic communications: Lead strategic communications with media and external stakeholders, managing complex issues and speaking to examples of compelling communications of nuanced, technical topics.Public relations: Lead public relations campaigns that support business growth, attract world-class talent, and continue strengthening our brand and reputation.Internal communications: Be the storytelling and cultural glue across internal teams, empowering our people and supporting the growth of our company.Core requirements include:Minimum 7+ years experience in strategic communications and/or public relations roles.Sound experience in issues management, with a good risk radar and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to communicate complex, deep-tech solutions and concepts simply and clearly.Impeccable communication skills ranging from inspiring storytelling to informative content writing.Proven experience managing stakeholders across fast-paced, high-tech environments.Halter is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
