The mission of NHC Toka Tu Ake is to reduce the impact on people and property when a natural disaster occurs while administering the natural disaster fund.Our values define who we are; they influence the way we work with each other and the way we serve our customers and engage with communities, every day.- Hei whakapai matou | We make a difference for people- Ka mahi tika matou | We do the right thingThrough our values, cultural understanding, and whanaungatanga (close personal connection) we connect with our communities ensuring support is provided during times of uncertainty.The purpose of this position is to respond to, on behalf of the team specific accountabilities for supporting the Chief Readiness and Recovery Officer to deliver on their performance expectations and group business plan objectives.This role will act as the eyes and ears for the Chief Readiness and Recovery Officer and will ensure all activities we are responsible for delivering are strategically and practically joined up, reported on and are on track and have risks and opportunities identified and actions planned.This position leads the preparation of strategic and operating documentation and will play an important part in group and business development.Key Responsibilities:Strategic LeadershipExcellent understanding of governance and the ability to write for a governance audienceStakeholder Management and Strategic PartnershipsBudget ManagementYour confident and engaging manner and excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to quickly build effective working relationships across all levels.
