About the role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to lead our Timaru store.
Reporting to our Christchurch Sales Manager, this role will provide critical leadership to ensure every customer has a consistently excellent experience every time.
The Timaru store consists of approximately 30-35 staff across all departments including Women's and Men's fashion, Accessories, Homewares, Cosmetics, Despatch, and our in-store café.
The Store Manager will work closely with our buyers to ensure our merchandise range is accurate and meets the needs of our loyal South Canterbury customers.
Key responsibilities include: Providing input into the Timaru business model Ensuring the department is always appropriately staffed Resolving day-to-day queries from staff, customers, and suppliers Leading, motivating, and inspiring the team Achieving KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Regularly reporting to the Executive team in Christchurch Managing people processes with the support of HR including recruitment, training, and performance processes Driving customer excellence Successful Candidate The successful candidate will have the following: Extensive experience working in a retail and customer services environment Experience in effective people management including leading teams Ability and passion to drive sales and achieve KPIs Competent Microsoft Office skills Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships Strong time management skills and able to prioritise effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Confident decision-making skills Additional Information This is a Permanent, Full Time Opportunity.
