Description We have a busy forward workload and are looking for a permanent STMS CAT A/B to join our Traffic Management Crew. These are some fantastic projects to be involved in, there will be loads of variety as you will also be involved in a range of Branch wide projects across the Manawatu Region.About the roleIn this role you will be, leading a crew responsible for carrying out and supervising temporary traffic management duties on roadwork sites ensuring safety of the people on site, the public, traffic, and compliance. You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm and have the flexibility to work additional hours/days as required.Design, adjust, and implement traffic management plansEnsure compliance with safety measures and TMPsCoordinate and delegate tasks to crew membersMaintain accurate daily records and report incidentsProvide training and guidance to staffSafely control traffic and maintain equipmentWhat you'll bring to the roleA safety-first attitude – for yourself, your team and the publicSTMS with Cat A / Cat B practising warrant Proven experience in the traffic industry Experience leading a crew is desirableFull Class 1 Licence is essential, Class 2 licence desirableAbility to work on call / night work A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the roleAbout UsHiggins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
