C3 are looking for an experienced people leader with proven supervisory experience who enjoys responsibility in a "hands on" port environment.
Our Stevedore Shift Leaders (Foremen) are tasked with leading and developing a team of Stevedores to safely and efficiently load and unload a variety of cargo in a continuous improvement environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for people management and a drive to safely and efficiently meet desired targets. As the Stevedore Shift Leader, you will motivate the team to ensure the business consistently delivers quality services to customers whilst maximizing profitability and productivity. You will embrace a safe operating environment as a core value by ensuring staff follow correct operating procedures.
For this position we are seeking someone with motivation and enthusiasm, who enjoys solving problems, is quick thinking and forward thinking. As this is a physically demanding 24/7 environment you must have the stamina and flexibility to work a range of shift patterns.
The successful candidate will have;
Effective communication skills with both internal & external customers
Confident communication skills to run effective toolbox talks
Performance management and coaching skills
Ability to further develop supervisory skills and get the best out of people
Strong computer skills
Planning skills to determine manpower & equipment to meet requirements and minimize labour costs
Ability to work out of port in other C3 locations when required
Previous experience in port operations desirable
Reliability with their attendance and flexiblilty with availability for work
Strong focus on maintaining Health & Safety to a very high standard
