You will be someone who has the drive to deliver high quality work and feel inspired by our shared purpose and values.This role requires someone who is agile, can quickly adapt and prioritise a number of tasks on the go, at any one time. This role will focus on providing high quality statutory process and administrative support to the team as well as project coordination. This role is one of a network of similar roles supporting the Regulatory Services teams, so you may be called upon to support any of our managers or teams; however, there is currently a focus on the Permissions and Statutory Process teams.Key responsibilities include:Administrative support to the team - project coordination tasks, coordination for Official Information Act, Ministerial and Parliamentary question requests, word processing, document management, and administrative support for public notification processesProvision of personal assistance to the manager - diary management, meeting support, drafting correspondence, arranging travel, support for financial processesProvision of communications support - newsletters, surveys, presentations, website content, and reportsYou will be an administration extraordinaire with strong coordination skills and the ability to proactively identify and use your initiative to support our team to help deliver our work. We are a busy and friendly team, so your experience with managing multiple tasks, remaining calm under pressure, and strong communication skills will be the key to your success in this role.In addition, we need someone with the following attributes:A strong administration background with demonstrated experience in administrative processes and servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUses initiative and independent judgement to deal with critical tasksProfessional interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet business critical deadlinesMeticulous attention to detailA customer focused approachMotivated, proactive, and enjoys a busy working environmentContributes positively to a high-performing and engaged teamProficient in Microsoft Office and OutlookDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Tikanga Maori and Te Ao Maori or a willingness to engage is an advantageKnowledge of Department of Conservation processes and systemsDOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
