This role requires someone who is agile, can quickly adapt and prioritise a number of tasks on the go, at any one time. You will provide high quality statutory process and administrative support to the team as well as project coordination.Key responsibilities include:Administrative support to the team – project coordination tasks, coordination for Official Information Act, Ministerial and Parliamentary question requests, word processing, document management, and administrative support for public notification processes.Provision of personal assistance to the manager – diary management, meeting support, drafting correspondence, arranging travel, support for financial processes.Provision of communications support – newsletters, surveys, presentations, website content, and reports.Minimum Requirements:You will be an administration extraordinaire with strong coordination skills and the ability to proactively identify and use your initiative to support our team to help deliver our work. We need someone with the following attributes:A strong administration background with demonstrated experience in administrative processes and services.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Uses initiative and independent judgement to deal with critical tasks.Professional interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet business critical deadlines.Meticulous attention to detail.A customer focused approach.Motivated, proactive, and enjoys a busy working environment.Contributes positively to a high-performing and engaged team.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Tikanga Maori and Te Ao Maori or a willingness to engage is an advantage.Knowledge of Department of Conservation processes and systems.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
