The work includes data editing, data sourcing, classification, validation, coding, checking, shaping and confronting data. The aim of the game is to get the data one step closer to informing important decisions in Aotearoa, and your contribution ensures our data is ready to take the next step.
You will be working with a team of analysts and technicians to ensure our suite of statistical releases, and accompanying editorial, is world-class in quality, statistical design, and appearance.
The role would suit someone who can bring:
Experience working with data/information, and the ability to apply technical checking skills.The ability to work well in a team environment and form effective relationships with a range of people.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and are confident in presenting your work in plain English.A passion for innovation, trouble-shooting and process improvements.Any information about your knowledge and experience, or desire to learn and build knowledge and experience of Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Maori, and engagement with Maori.Experience or willingness to learn writing and using R, SAS or other programming languages.Are a self-starter with the capability and willingness to adapt to new tools and systems quickly.We understand transferable skills can come from experience gained from outside of work. We encourage you to be you in your application.
