Established in 2008 Tekapo Springs has grown and developed into a world leading mecca that provides year-round activities and entertainment for all ages. As part of its flagship offerings Tekapo Springs Star Gazing business, offers a unique and unforgettable experience combining the breath-taking views of the world-renowned Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve with the soul-warming hot pools of Tekapo Springs.
As the star gazing business has gone from strength to strength, we are now looking for an experienced, commercially minded manager to take this business to the next level of growth and success.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving Tekapo Star Gazing business, setting the business plan and budget, ensuring that all customers have a safe and memorable experience in their time with us, along with leading a team of exceptional guides. Leveraging your industry experience, you will be tasked with all aspects of the operational leadership of the business, identifying product and business opportunities for further growth.
Essential attributes include:
Business leadership and commercial acumen
New product and market development
Championing the Brand awareness of Tekapo Springs and TSG businesses, delivering exceptional customer experience
Management of the TSG team
Collaborating with Sales & Marketing, Finance and Maintenance teams to deliver an exceptional experience
Be a member of the wider leadership team at Tekapo Springs, contributing to broader strategy, delivery and growth
Have a proven track record in the tourism attraction sector.
The role has staff management responsibilities for between 6-12 staff (depending on seasonal requirements) based at Tekapo Springs.
This is a full time, permanent role based in Lake Tekapo, one of the most picturesque places New Zealand has to offer. We have big plans for the future and this is an unmissable opportunity to join the management team and play an integral role in our continued success.
