Job Description The opportunity As our Stakeholder and Community Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in connecting Skills Ignite with the communities we serve. This is a dynamic role focused on building strategic partnerships, promoting Skills Ignite's offerings, and increasing enrolments. Working closely with our Maori & Pasifika Outcomes team, you'll develop and implement engagement strategies that resonate with key stakeholders, community leaders, schools, and organisations nationwide.
Key responsibilities Developing Community Engagement Strategies: Identify and engage key stakeholders, including schools, community leaders, and organisations. Collaborate with Maori & Pasifika Outcomes and Marketing teams to align engagement plans. Partner with Specialty Trades Market Relationship Managers to leverage shared relationships. Building Relationships: Build strong connections with stakeholders through events, social media, and outreach. Act as a bridge between Skills Ignite and the community, fostering trust and transparency. Attend priority events to drive awareness and enrolments regionally and nationally. Implementing Engagement Initiatives: Run outreach campaigns, educational programmes, and internal events, such as Whanau evenings. Disseminate information about Skills Ignite and gather community input. Support enrolments by coordinating with the Student Support Advisors. Pastoral Care: Offer guidance to students navigating challenges in their learning journey. Maintain relationships with organisations that provide Hauora support services. Reporting: Maintain CRM records and monitor local industry trends for school engagement. Provide regular progress reports and recommend stakeholder events for Skills Ignite. Desired Skills and Experience What you'll bring Proven Experience: Experience in community engagement or outreach roles. Engaging Personality: A warm, engaging personality with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and facilitation. Organisational Skills: Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong organisational and time management skills. Community Knowledge: Understanding of community organising principles, social justice issues, and relevant policies.
