Haumaru Orite is a supra-regional acute psychiatric child and adolescent mental health inpatient unit hosted by Te Toka Tumai.
It is located on level one of Starship Children's Hospital.Within the same facility Haumaru Orite also houses a specialist Mama and pepi maternal mental health inpatient unit to people living in Waitemata, Auckland, Counties Manukau and Northland.
You would be a member of a cohesive and social nursing team supported by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, occupational therapists, cultural advisors, social workers, psychologists and mental health assistants.

We would ideally like applicants who have at least two years post graduate mental health experience. Experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and / or Maternal Mental Health is preferred, however is not essential.
It is a minimum requirement to understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the importance of providing culturally safe care to our rangatahi, Mama and pepi .
