About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Snr Program Controls Specialist to join our Building Automation (BA) team based in our Freemans Bay office in Auckland. Reporting to the Sr Program Controls Manager, the role's primary function is to ensure all customer projects follow standard methodology and ensure all projects are setup, reviewed and maintained to the Honeywell BA standards in financial, and project execution systems. The role will support the local business with Project Controls expertise. Together with the Projects Leader and working with Project Managers, they will be responsible for the project's cost, risk, schedule position and aid with contractual administration through the application of knowledge. Key Responsibilities: Deploy standard systems and processes for the project reviews and bring consistency to ensure processes are followed Set-up of projects schedules, tracking, reporting, highlights deviations and proposes recovery plans Set-up of project controls tools for Budget control and monitoring project Earned Value and productivity Support Project Manager in planning, scheduling and cost control including monthly review and audit on Projects and setting up the PMIS [CORA PPM] Assist the PM in tracking and monitoring project variation with respect to budget & schedule and change management Work with leaders to implement the work processes, data structures and technology for Project Controls Assist with all claims against Honeywell including mediation, adjudication, arbitration or litigation Keep abreast of all major changes and developments in the areas of Building law, Security of Payment Acts, Construction practice and Industry Standard Forms of Contract, and advise District/project management accordingly Key Experience & Capabilities: Relevant degree or diploma qualification likely to be in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management or Building Services Project Management certification desirable Minimum 5+ years' relevant experience in Project Controls environment, preferably on construction projects Familiarity and working knowledge with Honeywell systems, including but not limited to SAP & CORA PM or other large ERP system Proficient in Microsoft Office package skills Experience in Contract Law and Security of Payment Acts desirable Excellent verbal, written, influencing and presentation skills Quality conscious and strong attention to details Driven and able to build team building skills Analytical and great problem-solving skills About Us The world is changing.
