About the Role A position has become available to work in our hard surface team for a Spray Technician. In this role you will work to a schedule of work to manage and maintain pest plants in our parks and greenspaces, so that they look their very best. You will be provided with full training, PPE and ongoing support while you develop your knowledge of herbicides and their application. In addition, we can support you in achieving your Growsafe certificate. Ideally you would have previous weed management experience, however this is not a deal breaker. If you love the outdoors and have good attention to detail, then this might be for you. What you will be doing • Chemical spraying and application of herbicides. • Manual weed removal. • Operating spray equipment and machinery • Supporting general garden maintenance. • Various methodologies such as mechanical, manual, and hot water to manage weeds. • Pest plant control About You • A Full New Zealand driver's license - Manual • Are committed to delivering consistently high-quality workmanship. • Physically fit and committed to getting the job done. • Are conscientious toward keeping everyone updated. • Reliable and always on time for work. • Flexibility to work additional hours to complete scheduled work.
