Sports Administrator - St Mary's CollegeAre you a highly organised and efficient administrator who would love a permanent part time position working during school term time only? Do you enjoy working in a team, and see the value of supporting young people to be actively involved in sport?
We are looking for a new Sports Administrator to join us and provide crucial administrative support to our expansive sports programme. With 550 students and a reputation for sporting excellence, we are on the hunt for a well organised and efficient Sports Administrator to work part time alongside our full time Director of Sport.
This is a part time, permanent position for 20 hours per week, term time only.  The successful applicant will need to work a minimum of 4 days per week. The Sports Administrator works on site at the school in Thorndon, Wellington. This role comes with a permanent on-site car park at the school, at no cost.
Our ideal candidate will be a highly organised administrator who can work efficiently and effectively in a support role. You will have a keen eye for detail along with the capacity to see tasks through to their end. If you also have an analytical approach that enables you to find ways to improve systems and processes, this will be a definite advantage.
The role requires:
Strong time management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines in a timely and calm mannerThe ability to establish and maintain positive working relationship with staff, students, parents/caregivers and work in a professional mannerAbility to stay calm under pressure in a busy school environmentAbility to work unsupervised to complete tasks and processesExcellent administrative skills including spreadsheet skills and the ability to use our student management system (Kamar) and other platformsThe ability to work with budgetsAppropriate training and support to use our Kamar system and other platforms will be provided to the successful applicant.
All employees of the College are required to support the special character of the school. 
The formal start date for this position is Monday 27 Jan, 2025. There is also an opportunity for the appointee to have a short handover period with the outgoing Administrator prior to the end of the current school year, if possible.
